About Live By Living
Live By Living is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We connect cancer survivors and their caregivers with nature and one another. We offer walks, hikes and retreats, as well as on-line programming. Our programs are free.
How do we collect information about you?
We obtain information about you when you visit our website, sign up to receive communications from us, sign up for our services, or make a donation.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect from you varies depending on how you interact with us. It may include your contact information (name, email address, phone number, mailing address); whether you are a cancer survivor, caregiver or prospective volunteer; and demographic information. If you register for one of our retreats or our Cancer to 14K conditioning programs, we collect information regarding your health and medical conditions and emergency contact information. With your express permission only, we may collect photos or videos of you for promotional use. If you complete our participant surveys, we collect information on your psychosocial outlook at the time of the survey. If you donate, your credit card or bank information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
- Process a payment for an item you have purchased
- Send you our monthly newsletter
- Send occasional marketing emails
- Keep you safe on our walks, hikes Cancer to 14K programs and retreats
- Measure the effectiveness of our programs
Who has access to your information?
Your information is available to Live By Living staff and its contractors for the purpose of evaluating our outreach actions, communicating with you, and evaluating, improving and supporting our programs. We WILL NOT sell or rent your information to third parties.
