Join Live By Living as we host a retreat for Latino cancer survivors and their families at the YMCA Conference Center, Estes Park, October 19-21, 2018, Friday evening through Sunday morning.
This fall, stretch your legs a bit as you enjoy the fall colors in Rocky Mountain National Park, marvel at bull elk “bugling” to attract mates and ward off the competition, and enjoy some delicious home-cooked meals. All this while meeting new friends who understand what you’ve been through as a cancer survivor or caregiver.
Live By has been connecting cancer survivors and their caregivers with nature and one another for 10 years. Over 1,000 people have attended one of our weekend retreats. Now you have the chance to join us for our first retreat designed specifically for Latino families, with culturally-appropriate meals and programming.
This retreat will take place at the YMCA Conference Center of the Rockies in Estes Park. We have reserved a gorgeous 6-bedroom, 3-bath house nestled in the wooded foothill of the Rockies, just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. This will be our home base for our retreat, which starts with check-in Friday afternoon, followed by introductions and dinner Friday evening.
All Live By Living retreats are staffed by caring, skilled volunteers who will pamper you at every turn, and do all of the cleaning and cooking. On this retreat, of course, we will have bilingual volunteers.
Saturday, we will start the day with a delicious healthy breakfast, then drive into the park for an easy, scenic hike filled with fall colors and mountain vistas. We’ll have sack lunches on our hike, then return to our cabin in the afternoon to rest up, do a little more elk viewing, and fill up on another great dinner filled with yummy, cancer-fighting foods.
Sunday, we’ll have breakfast, pack up, and head out for a short stroll in the park before heading back home.
Space is limited! To register for this retreat, click here, and scroll all the way down the page to the registration form. Complete the form, being sure to select the October 19-21 retreat.
