Yes, it’s true! We have been connecting cancer survivors and their caregivers with nature and one another for 10 years. Come help us celebrate this milestone at our fall fundraiser on Thursday, November 15, 5:30 — 8:30 pm at Wayfinder, 525 Santa Fe Drive in Denver.

We’ve come a long ways since 2009, when we held one retreat and one hike.  In 2018, we held 14 retreats and over 150 hikes and walks!  We’re all across Colorado, have a presence in Illinois, and are getting ready to expand to Iowa. Utah and Washington are on the radar, too.

We continue to help cancer survivors reach new heights — 14,270 feet, to be exact, as several participants in our Cancer to 14K conditioning program summited Grays Peak in August.

It’s time for a party to celebrate all of this and help us prepare for the NEXT ten years.  We have a great event planned for you this year — a silent auction with tons of great selections from your favorite Denver-area businesses, plus lots of fantastic outdoor gear donated by our new friends from the Outdoor Retailer show. Denver City Council President (and cancer survivor) Albus Brooks will be our keynote speaker, and we’ll have remarks by Dr. Fran Mason, our medical advisor and co-author of The Force, the first book to promote exercise for cancer survivors.  We’ll have great music by award-winning Annie Booth, and mouth-watering catering by Piggin’ Out Smokehouse (yes, there will be great vegetarian choices, too).

This year, we’re moving the event to the Santa Fe Arts District just south of Denver’s downtown.  Wayfinder Co-op is located at 525 Santa Fe Drive.  There’s a free parking lot on-site as well as plenty of free on-street parking.

Please register for this great evening on our Eventbrite page. If you are unable to join us, but would like to support our programs for cancer survivors, you can donate here
