Please join us Sunday, January 27, for a lovely stroll along Bear Creek. The walk is a mile and a half on a crushed gravel trail, with an option to go farther for those who want to. Rita Carver and Roger Fertig will show you the beauty of the Lair O’ the Bear Park in Jefferson County. This small wonder of a park overflows with riches: Bear Creek and its calming current; a riparian ecosystem that teams with life—busy beavers, aquatic insects and the American Dippers that snap them up, cottonwoods, and box elders.
As always, Live By Living day hikes are open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers, men and women. Regardless of whether you are currently in or out of treatment, we’d love to have you join us. If you’re uncertain whether you are physically up for a hike, please call us at 303-808-2339, and we can help you decide.
