Live By Living Day Hike: Lutheran Hospital Walk in the Park series: Van Bibber Park, Tuesday, June 27

Join us on Tuesday evening, June 27, for our ongoing series of walks co-sponsored by Lutheran Hospital. We’ll go for an EASY 2-mile-plus walk in Van Bibber Park. Stroll along the paved/crushed gravel Van Bibber Creek Trail, stop and admire the mountain views to the west and the many varieties of wildlife that pass through the park. There is an option for a longer walk in this lovely streamside park in Arvada. A wetlands observation deck provides views of ponds, marsh vegetation and an interesting mix of waterfowl.

This is a repeating series of walks at several different parks on the west side of the metro area.  The walks get progressively longer from week 1 to week 4, then we start over.  The rotation will include:  Crown Hill Park, Van Bibber Park, Belmar Park and Berkeley Lake.  Each walk offers the opportunity to go for extra loops, so really anyone can join at any time.  This is a great series to help you get ready for one of our retreats (check out the retreats on the link, and sign up soon)!

As always, Live By Living day hikes are open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers, men and women.  Regardless of whether you are currently in or out of treatment, we’d love to have you join us.  If you’re uncertain whether you are physically up for a hike, please call us at 303-808-2339, and we can help you decide.
