Live By Living Day Hike: Dawson Lake at Moraine View State Park in ILLINOIS. Saturday, October 13

Join Kathy on Saturday morning, October 13, as she leads an EASY TO MODERATE hike in ILLINOIS!  This is a wooded trail South of the loop road at the Dawson Lake campground at Moraine View State Park. This is an unpaved trail with some hills.  We are so excited to be expanding to offer hikes in this beautiful part of the world, we hope those of you in the area will join.

 

 

As always, Live By Living day hikes are open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers, men and women. Regardless of whether you are currently in or out of treatment, we’d love to have you join us. DAY/DATE OF HIKE:  Saturday, October 13

 

MEETING TIME: 10:00 am              

 

RETURN TIME: Noon                                             

 

MEETING PLACE: Dawson Lake Campground

 

DIRECTIONS TO MEETING PLACE: East from Bloomington on either Rte. 9 or Rte. 150 to North 2600 East Road. Follow directions to Moraine View State Park. Turn right (south) at park entrance. Text 309-530-6948 and leave your name to register, or call for more information.

 

DIFFICULTY: Easy to moderate.                 

 

DISTANCE:   1. 8 mile loop.

 

ELEVATION GAIN:             None – This is Illinois

 

HIGHEST POINT: 30 feet above the corn fields

1. Appropriate clothing for the weather.
